POSITION DETAILS:
Pipeline Engineer / Project Manager
Project management responsibilities include scoping, estimating, proposing, directing and managing oil and gas, pipeline relocation and installation projects. Project scope typically includes review and preparation of underground utility maps, agency interface for utility research and/or permitting, pipeline design code research for specifying applicable design/construction requirements, preparation of pipeline construction specifications, and field engineering for pipeline construction feasibility assessment. Pipeline engineering responsibilities include virtually all aspects of oil and gas pipeline engineering, analysis, and code compliance.
The position requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering and experience in project management, engineering or construction of pipeline projects. PE License in Civil or Mechanical is a plus.
Project Manager
Project manager’s responsibilities include leading multi-discipline teams in development of project scope, budgets and schedules; preparation of proposals; preparation of feasibility studies and preliminary design reports; directing and managing multiple engineering and design projects for the oil and gas industry. The position will include significant involvement and responsibility in working directly with clients.
Applicants should have project management or engineering experience, good communication skills and computer experience. Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering PE is a plus.
Mechanical Systems Engineer
We are seeking Mechanical Systems Engineers experienced in oil and gas pipeline hydraulic calculations, engineering, construction and startup of oil and gas pipelines, pumping stations, hydrocarbon liquid storage, truck loading facilities, gas transmission compressor stations, treatment facilities, and refinery process units. Responsibilities also include performing conceptual studies, estimating pipelines and facilities, and working with Clients in defining their needs and desires, mentoring less experienced engineers and assisting in their development.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required and a PE license is desired.
Electrical and Control Systems Engineers
Electrical engineers should have experience in engineering, detail design and construction coordination for oil and gas processing, power and control systems; oil and gas pipeline, terminal, and storage facilities responsibilities include medium and low voltage distribution systems and engineering of power, grounding, lighting, and instrumentation and control systems. A degree in Electrical Engineering is required and a PE license is desired.
Control systems engineers should also have experience in the types of facilities listed above including development of P&ID’s per ISA standards, specification and design of PLC control systems and SCADA systems, preparation of control descriptions and logic, and programming of PLC and HMI systems. An Engineering degree (Electrical or similar) is required, and a PE license is desired.
Civil / Structural Engineers
Civil/Structural responsibilities include preparation of calculations, design details, and specifications for industrial and municipal facilities that include various building structures, equipment foundations, earth and water retaining structures, pipelines, and other civil/structural projects. Job will include coordination with other engineering disciplines, project engineering and project management. Job duties will also include client interface, field investigations and construction observation. A degree in Civil Engineering is required and a PE license is desired.
Entry-Level Chemical, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical & Control Systems Engineers
We are seeking several engineering graduates in the fields of Chemical, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical & Control Systems Engineering to perform support engineering and design services for a variety of energy infrastructure projects serving the western and southwestern states. Our clients are involved in the production, refining, transportation, and distribution of petroleum and natural gas, fuels, including pipeline systems for transporting these energy streams throughout the southwestern United States. We provide overall system planning for these types of facilities and follow through with detailed engineering and coordination to upgrade and expand existing systems and to develop new facilities.
Engineers in this position typically learn quickly through increasingly challenging assignments, and their role has grown to include coordination with other engineering disciplines, project engineering and project management. Job duties will also include interfacing with clients and construction contractors, field investigation, and construction startup support. Candidates must have strong technical capabilities, excellent computer and communication skills, and the desire to become an industry leader. BS degree is required and EIT certification is desired. Applicable work experience is a plus.
Chemical and Mechanical Engineers’ responsibilities will include preparation of gas and liquid pipeline, piping and pump hydraulic calculations, assisting with system flow diagram development, equipment sizing and specifications, vendor coordination, construction specifications, and project estimates.
Civil Engineers’ responsibilities will include preparation of calculations, design drawings, and specifications for industrial and municipal facilities that include various building structures, equipment foundations, area grading and paving, drainage systems, pipelines, permitting, and other civil and structural projects.
Electrical & Control Systems Engineers’ responsibilities will include engineering calculations, analysis, specifications, drawing review, equipment vendor coordination, and project scheduling and control. Job duties will also include, field investigation, and construction startup support.
Designers
We are looking for Designers with strong technical capabilities and proficiency in AutoCAD with good communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn and perform increasingly complex assignments, and the desire to become industry leaders. Current projects include planning, engineering, detail design and construction coordination for oil and gas processing, power and control systems; oil and gas pipeline, terminal, and storage facilities. Prior design and AutoCAD experience is required.
AutoCAD Technicians
We are looking for people with strong understanding and proficiency in AutoCAD drafting as well as good communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn and perform increasingly complex services. Successful people will learn the design aspects of these facilities while enhancing their CAD capabilities, with potential to develop to designer and design lead positions. One year AutoCAD 2000-2004 experience or sufficient coursework is required. GIS experience is a plus.
